this is it

The Death of a King. In reverence of an Idol of mine, I've created a visual homage inspired by the theme song to Michael Jackson's final curtain call: This Is It.

I was fortunate enough to have seen the opening night premier of this movie. A midnight showing at a Theatre in Brooklyn - The HOOD was in the building. The energy was wild; everyone clapping, singing, snapping, yelling "Go'head Michael !" It Was Epic. Consider this my offering to one whose works have affected me and many others... Michael, I see you !

The Type used is a new Typeface which I've been developing... Expect to see more of this new work soon. Also, keep an eye out for much more work coming soon... The Kid has been busy. I can't wait to share with y'all! Holler at me... .

I'm sad to see a talented human pass; I'm sad to see a human who inspired the talents of others pass T_T Without Michael there would have been no Captain EO, I wouldn't have gone to EPCOT countless times and sworn that I too someday would travel the galaxy, spreading peace with Pop-R&B hooks and razor-sharp dance moves... oh, and I was always inspired by his logo!

This is how I will remember HIM. His vessel faded, but his spirit lifted...

Let us have a moment of silence - filled with a Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis classic MJ Cut! I bow my head to an Icon.

I was recently invited to create a custom pair of HI-TOPS for an artists series collaboration with RYZ footwear. If any of y'all know me - You Know I'm Focused on My Footwear! I've been at this for a while, and it doesn't stop with Hi-Tops; I've got a confessed Thing for girlz+heelz ^_~ !

Back To Business! The shoes I designed were kept simple, based on Classic Edo Geometries and Patterns, and finished in a variety of colourways.

You'll notice the Soles as well as the In-Soles are finished in a Custom Calligraphic Design. The Shoes are on sale now! Cop them while you can!

These kicks have been in the box ready to drop for weeks now... I wanted to keep a lid on these until the full relaunch of RYZ occurred later this summer but it looks like there will be more were these came from soon! RYZ is a great start-up backed by some real heavyweights (* KDU you know who you are ) along with full backing from our studios on the initial outset - RYZ was also directed by my favorite Miss Jen Wannarachue of WorshipWorthy fame. RYZ is definitely on the move - Stay tuned for further collabos! Let's GO!

I'm certainly in great company with many of my own personal favorite sites included in this exhaustive review of who's who in the online design world... It's crazy to think that my humble blog ( † which is turning 4 this year ) would be picked up by folks the world over.
