My compulsion to capture the continuum of my experience in Buenos Aires has left me with thousands of images, Detailing Every Moment of my Enamorment with the City of my Birth. I've had the fortune of experiencing in BA that which is oftentimes hard to find here in New York - a sense of genuine familiarity.
Here for your vicarious enjoyment are the images which best express all that is to be had in Buenos Aires. Here's a finely styled presentation of my experience.

buenos aires adored

Borges : Las Calles de Buenos Aires
Ya son mi entraña . No las ávidas calles, incómodas de turba y ajetreo,
Sino las calles desganadas del barrio, casi invisibles de habituales.
Buenos Aires is a city of Iconic Contradictions. She is Antiquarian, but Youthful. She is Poor, but Extravagant. She has been Humbled, but remains Proud. She carries herself with the elegance and culture of well-heeled, couture fitted woman who'll dance unabashedly to the grinding rhythm of a Cumbia Villera beat. Before one knows what to make of her, she sweeps you up in a dance of emotion and passion as exhilarating as the Tango she made famous - and just like that, I'm caught up in a love affair with the city of Buenos Aires.
I find myself overlooking a city which has written itself into my own family's history.
This is the city from which I came, but never had the chance to really know. There is more to this enamorment than the simple Adoration of a City and it's People. It's more than just the seductive and rich history this city shows with every breath. For me it's been about understanding the fundamentality of Family and the sincerity of a connection which at times may seem imperceivable, but in reality never fades. Through the blanket of a Primavera Llovizna ( Spring Mist ) I can see a city which has always held a place in my past - but now which I hope will always have a place in my future.
I've experienced much in my time so far in Buenos Aires. I've amassed a sizable amount of images - viewed best as captured moments of a continuum, rather than static frames. I'd love to share with you some of the sites which have defined my time here in Argentina. There's much, much, much more for me to talk about - but I'll hold my tongue for another time. I offer you here a look into my Buenos Aires.

boliches de buenos aires

Ché : In Buenos Aires We ain't "Up in the Club"
We Heavy en Los Boliches
Here's a look at Mi Vida Nocturna in the Argentine Capital.
I'd heard much about the Vida Nocturna en Buenos Aires but I still don't think I came prepared to keep pace with the Late, Late, Late Night Revelry. Now, "I came up in the club" – that is to say – going out ain't nothing new. I can definitely hold my own on the floor 'til 4 or 5 AM - EASY! . But here, well damn - nothing gets popping until about 3:30, with most clubs open until 6 and many smaller venues staying open until 9 AM or later ( uh, i mean Earlier ). Boliches and their Cumbia Cousins - Bailantas make that Miami + LA 2AM 'ish look like childs play. Even my NY night life begins to pale in comparison when I think of how most events start winding down at 3:30.
I had the good fortune of being shown some of the more bougie Boliches, which remind me of Las Vegas clubs with all their Pomp and little Circumstance, and also some regular Barrio Retros which play basically anything and everything to a slightly more "alternative" crowd ( Rock is still big in Argentina ). I still haven't found that Perfect Beat here in Buenos Aires, but I have been fortunate enough to see and capture a bit of the Argentine Vida Nocturna.
